look, despite my disappointment with the direction pickled politics has taken recently, i didn’t get involved with the spittoon to engage in personal blogwars with sunny. this sort of thing, in my opinion, does very little for what we are trying to achieve here.

The Spittoon has regularly poked fun at Islamists and ridiculed what is patently the ridiculous, the banal and the plain stupid aspects of their politics, their blogs and their Islamist interpretation of religious texts. Sunny has chosen to lend his support to Islamists and has personally maligned credible people who criticise them, while trying to create an atmosphere on his blog which silences all counter-criticism under the implication that to attack Islamists is Islamophobic or racist.
I can personally vouch for that. Hundal has launched a series of attacks on me that are borderline defamatory and generally scurrilous. He then compounds these insults by banning me so I cannot reply under a given nickname. When I respond under another nickname, he then complains that I am using sockpuppets.
The man is a complete twat and – frankly – I am becoming firmly convinced he deserves all the ridicule he gets.
ok, i understand all that, believe me, but let’s stick to having a go at the islamists, i think that’s maintaining the moral high ground.
