Here’s part of the Islamic Forum of Europe (IFE) fightback against what they call “media slurs”: a new Youtube channel. This is the first video.
Who is the portly man at 2:35?
Here he is on the right with Islamist preacher and Hitler fan Yusuf al Qaradawi and representatives of Neturei Karta, Islamists’ favourite Jewish fig leaves.
Here he is again from 0:45, telling off Egypt for not doing enough for jihad. His interviewer is Press TV ultra-loyalist Roshan Muhammed Salih.
He is Kamal Al Hilbawy, a Muslim Brotherhood leader whom Gene wrote about in 2008 when Helbawy had this to say to the BBC Arabic service:
Dr. Kamal Al-Hilbawi: I condemn the targeting of any civilian, but incidentally, I believe that every Israeli civilian is a future soldier.
Interviewer: He is what?
Dr. Kamal Al-Hilbawi: A future soldier.
Interviewer: Even if he is two years old?
Dr. Kamal Al-Hilbawi: A child born in Israel is raised on the belief that [the Arabs] are like contemptible sheep, and that this is a land without a people, and they are a people without a land. They have very strange concepts. In elementary school, they pose the following math problem: “In your village, there are 100 Arabs. If you killed 40, how many Arabs would be left for you to kill?” This is taught in the Israeli curriculum. What would you say about that? Should a child studying this be considered a civilian? He is a future soldier.
Now there’s a poster boy for the IFE.

*Ex – Spokesman of Muslim Brotherhood in the West

More fascinating titbits to be had on his personal website:

Incidentally, the photograph on the IFE site of al-Khelbawy with al-Qaradawi was taken from al-Khelbawy’s website portfolio of personal photographs…
Not that there is any link between al-Khelbawy (owner of an old people’s homes, incidentally – St Anne’s) and IFE, MCB, MAB or heaven forfend MB and JI.
This character is also banned from entry to the United States:
In October 2006, Steven Emerson wrote for the Counterterrorism Blog about his own experience seeing Helbawy supporting Hamas, supporting an Intifada against Israel, and verbally attacking Christians and Jews. Steven Emerson also pointed to Helbawy speaking at a conference that included “Blind Sheikh” Omar Abdul-Rahman, who is in prison for the 1993 World Trade Center attack.
Helbawy appeared at a conference of the Muslim Arab Youth Association in December 1992 in the USA. Here are some of his recorded comments:
In 1991, Helbawy spoke at a conference hosted by the Islamic Committee for Palestine, a front group that was headed by convicted Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) operative Sami al-Arian. Other speakers at the event include Specially Designated Terrorist and current General Secretary of PIJ, Ramadan Abdullah Shallah, the notorious Egyptian “Blind Sheikh,” Omar Abdul Rahman (spiritual leader of the 1993 attack on the World Trade Center, currently serving a life prison sentence for his role in a plot to blow up New York City landmarks), and PIJ founder and spiritual leader Abdel Aziz Al Awda.

Another long-standing supporter of jihad is lined up by IFE as evidence of their “moderate” views?
Shoddy investigative google-researching, Abu Farce. Thou art behaving like a ‘phool’. What’s your conclusions?
That quoting the verse in the Koran above makes Helbawy an anti-semite?
That being a supporter of Palestinian resistance is unacceptable extremism?
Do one, munir.
