Sunny falls off his brown high horse, again

Here’s another blog gem from the irrepressible Sunny “Browner Than Thou” Hundal.

It’s yet more proof, if such were needed, which shows how Hundal only looks at everything through a white/brown lens. In this case, Hundal suggests that Amnesty’s campaign for the IRA in the 70s happened without outcry because the IRA were white. He introduces a second point that Amnesty requested a moratorium on Timothy McVeigh without controversy only because he was a white supremacist – not a brown Islamist supremacist!

Someone explain to Sunny, the difference between Amnesty and the IRA and Amnesty and CagePrisoners, which he intentionally fails to grasp, is that Amnesty campaigned for the former’s legal/civil rights. They didn’t share platforms with the IRA and marginalise and suspend internal critics of this policy.

On the second point, requesting a moratorium on the execution of white supremacists isn’t exactly the same as hauling them round Europe on dozens of speaking tours. Amnesty did not make a poster-boy of McVeigh. Make no mistake, if Amnesty were to partner with the BNP and tour Nick Griffin on some human rights issue, Sunny would be clambering onto his brown high horse to oppose it. But the situation is so different now, for Sunny: the poster-boy in this case is brown not white. No doubt this helped him to decide to share an Amnesty podium with Begg himself.

Even so, I am grateful to him for this superb yet unintentional Hundalian slip which amounts to the admission of Amnesty’s partnership with Cageprisoners and Begg:

“Amnesty has no relationship at all with Cage Prisoners. They are a partner among others to take Moazzam Begg on a tour to raise the issue of Guantanamo Bay across Europe.”

Ha ha! I hope all Gita’s enemies are as stupid as this man.

I have felt for a long time that Sunny sees himself as a ‘professional’ brown man, similar in ethos to Chas’n'Dave being ‘professional’ cockneys, or Ricky Tomlinson being a ‘professional’ Scouser.

Only Sunny is the white left’s brown man, and probably sees his eventual place as the first brown leader of our country.

But he also went on at some length at how fair he was! Seemed that he could pass for gora in India, particularly in the south where he was before he went to the UK.

You gotta hand it to the guy, he has all bases covered.

Hi, Chairwoman, nice to see you around! Katy too.

Where has last Friday’s caption competition featuring Sunny disappeared to?
