Caliphate vs Secular Democracy

In the last few years groups such as Al-Muhajiroun have been calling for Britain to become a Caliphate (Islamist state). So what would Britain as a Caliphate look like?

Let’s look at the facts:

  • Under a Caliphate system the internet, music, novels, media would be banned/suppressed.
  • Anything involving freedom of thought, freedom of speech and freedom of faith would also be banned/suppressed.
  • The Caliphate would ban whole areas of economic activity so jobs/careers would be restricted.
  • Only a man can be the Caliph (Ruler)
  • Once selected, the Caliph would rule as an autocrat and remain the ruler until his death.
  • No opposition parties would be allowed. So the Caliph cannot be challenged/replaced.
  • Muslim women would be forced to cover up and women of other faiths would be restricted in what they can wear.
  • Non-Muslims would be forced to pay the Jizya tax and have inferior status compared to the Muslims.
  • If history is anything to go by then orgies of violence against people of other faiths would become common place.
  • A medieval interpretation of Sharia law would be enforced. This will include stoning, chopping off hands and public floggings for various crimes.
  • Homosexuals and lesbians would be killed.
  • Violent Jihad against other nations would become obligatory

Does this caliphate system sound appealing to anyone?

Give me secular democracy any day!

It is the devout duty of Muslims to implement an Islamic caliphate on earth and Al Muhajiroun are living up to true message of Muhammad.

“Violent Jihad against other nations would become obligatory”

Even if there is no Caliphate it as an imperative on Muslims to wage Jihad against “Jews, Christians, Zoroastrians and idolators…..until they become Muslim or else pay the jizya tax aka ‘The Preventing Violent Extremism Pathfinder Fund’ in England

    Raziq

Your list is what Allah/Muhammad expects of Muslims.

Muslims are not allowed to pick good bits and reject bad bits of Islamic ideology. It is all or nothing. A Muslim has to and does accept all that you have listed above, Raziq.

I just cannot understand why, if Muslims do not find things appealing in their doctorine why they still want to belong to a right wing, homophobic, misogynistic, anti-Semitic, brutalistic organisation?

It is like someone who is a Nazi but tries hard to convince others that he is not anti Semite racist and is a moderate Nazi. LOL

Muslims are not allowed to pick good bits and reject bad bits of Islamic ideology.

But they do and have done for at least a thousand years or so. Are you prescribing how Muslims must live their lives or how they are already?

a right wing, homophobic, misogynistic, anti-Semitic, brutalistic organisation

That’s probably the fundamental underpinning to your anti-Muslim diatribes. It’s not an “organisation”, it’s a religion. Not all Muslims are “right wing, homophobic, misogynistic, anti-Semitic, brutalistic”. Most are not by a long shot.

A mass generalisation is a sure sign of deeply held bigoted hatred. And hateful rants is as useful and enjoyable as sitting next to drunken belligerent tramp shouting on a cramped bus. Should we put your hateful ranting down to your moral failures, your intellectual blind spots, psychological hang-ups? Or should we ascribe it to the religious background, of which you may or may not be an adherent?

Anyway, I’m trying to engage but I know it will be a fruitless waste of time. So I’ll tell you now, I’ve had enough of your driveby tollery. You’re not here to engage in any meaningful way. So unless you shape up and get over the mindless bigotry, abide by the rules of the site and desisit with the hate ranting, that’ll be your last one here. Thanks.

    How can this be possible.
A Muslim has to emulate Muhammad and follow his example and he was homophobic, misogynistic, anti-Semitic, brute.

It is like someone who is a Nazi but tries hard to convince others that he is not anti Semite racist and is a moderate Nazi. LOL

Is there a chance, Gerrit, that you might simply go elsewhere?

You have absolutely nothing to bring to the party, other than pig-ignorance of the topics at hand, rudeness, unpleasant essentialising of entire communities and a barely concealed contempt for the efforts of the people who run this site.

I have had enough of your hectoring displays of your abysmal ignorance of even the most rudimentary aspects of Islam. It is not a question of your hostility to Islam; it is a matter of the sheer lack of knowledge you have of the faith. It is this that makes your assaults entirely unacceptable.

Your comments, in particular, on the recent threads about Sikh gurus are offensive in the extreme. Managing, as they do, to both disrupt the discussion and, quite remarkably, to insult both Sikh and Muslim communities simultaneously.

It is clearly your intention to try to wreck this site – due, in the main, I suspect, to your desire to counter any and all attempts to foster better intercommunal relations between Muslims and non-Muslims and to discourage Muslims from taking a stand against extremists in their own community.

This site is not a Muslim site, although it does have a healthy interest in exposing Islamism as a stain on the good name of the majority of Muslims, who are neither extreme nor wedded to extremist political ideologies such as Islamism. Clearly, you both reject and resent this.

However, rather than arguing your case in any coherent or consistent manner, you have resorted to insults, drive-by trolling and the most crude and offensive attempts at inducing flame-wars and derailment of the content of this site.

It is thus very difficult to take seriously your attempt to play the “free-speech” card, claiming as you do that your entirely negative, intentionally destructive, disruptive, pig-ignorant comments are now subject to censorship.

You have been repeatedly warned about your conduct, Gerrit. Now, show some grace, accept your beating and – finally – fuck off.
