Hizb ut Tahrir, Britain, gets ready for executive committee elections

This is a guest post by the elections officer

***************

Following last Saturday’s secret meeting for the members of Hizb ut Tahrir, Britain, the Spittoon is delighted to announce that it has learned of its forthcoming Wilayah elections for the UK Executive Committee of the party.

This means the Wilayah has now been disbanded and that Nasim Ghani, as the mutamad, is solely in charge of the party until the elections are held.

Our mole will keep us posted on the nominees and who wins the elections. We’ll be sure to publish the results here for you, and the Security Service, just as soon as we have them.

Just remember boys, we know what you did last Saturday.

It’s just a merry go round with the same ole tossers being elected because they can’t recruit fresh blood.

You’re not as clever as you think. As this announcement was made area by area, the mole can be easily tracked down. Hint, they live outside of London. If their treachery is not uncovered today, surely it will not be hidden from the one from whom nothing is hidden. As for Spittoon, at least your time is occupied on this tabloid forum, keeps you out from trouble in the real world, one crumb of comfort.

Is this stuff actually that secret? When I was with HT they would usually make a public announcement about their elections? HT would normally hold elections every year (or two?) at around the start of the Islamic year – so I suspect that this post is not really telling us that much, considering that the new Islamic year starts at the end of the week.

Seems a bit fucked up that a so-called “party” which regards democracy to be a an evil anti-Islamic innovation of the West should think to hold internal elections to select its own committee members.

But then, what else are we to expect from these arseholes?

    Idris,

Maybe you should read a book, I would either suggest an Oxford Reading Tree book (stage 1) or possibly a basic book about politics (preferably with pictures and monosyllabic descriptions).

Voting is a component of democracy, not a definition. Democracy refers to the rule of the demos (people) as opposed to the rule of the dictator, this in effect translates into who is the source of lawmaking. In a democracy it is the people, who elect representatives to look after their interests, part of which is lawmaking. In Islam, or Islamist political thinking, as you might claim, the people cannot be the source of the law, rather the source of law is divine (Qur’an, Sunnah, and the sources they confirm – Ijma’a and Qiyas), rather they elect representatives who represent their views. elections are a legitimate style in Islam. Therefore voting is not in and of itself bad, rather the system applied is the determiner of good and bad.

Therefore there is no contradiction, even the Islamists claim to use elections to bring the khaleefah into position.

why is it that everytime there is a blog on HT, the thread invariably and rapidly turns to lurid sexual discussions? this is of course a hypothetical question, because we all know the answer….

    We’re still waiting!

You’re Hizb ut Tahrir. You’ve allowed yourselves to be brainwashed into waiting for a political system which has the political organisation of the Ottoman empire combined with the temporal spread of the Mameluks and the logistical firepower of a certain military superpower (USA) to pop out fully formed in the 21st century and into your laps! If you’re used to waiting for that, what’s a little waiting for an article to appear on a blog? Keep waiting.

Effendi, you purport through your Spittoon name to be an educated fellow, so let me spell it out in simple language.

Spittoon made a song and dance about declaring the election results, and now they are over we are waiting for the inside scoop. When will this information be forthcoming, pray tell.

I await the re-establishment of the khilafah rashidah as I have hope in Allah’s promise of victory. You seem to have hope in nothing as can be clearly seen in the empty blog posts you seem so adept at churning out.

Just admit your promises are not worth the html they are written on.

Just admit your promises are not worth the html they are written on.

And the leaflets you force onto believers outside mosques aren’t worth the toilet paper they are a substitute for.

dawood (sic), jumping to the defence of Effendi, how sweet.

But I don’t want to get into a ‘my dad’s better than your dad, playground confrontation’, what I do want is the results Spittoon promised.

So again, can you tell me the results? Or are you still in the dark!

keep waiting sunshine, it’ll be here before the Hizbi khilafa gets here. ;-)
