Hello! It’s Caption Competition time again. After the last few weeks revelations of Anwar al-Awlaki’s extensive fan-base here in Britain, here is an image of Awlaki’s biggest fan: former Guantanamo Bay inmate and jihad tourist, Moazzam Begg.

I swear, Awlakli only became extreme yesterday!
Moazzam Begg, here launching his new business selling timeshares at Camp X-Ray, an idyllic resort off the coast of Cuba.
“How come Inayat gets all the hugs? Get over here Ed!”
Of all the outrages committed by the guards at Gitmo, I shall never forget the time when the medical orderly cupped two prisoners at once like this and ordered them to cough!
Such was the daily humiliation of the Brothers at the hands of the forces of Shaytan!
Why are you now mocking Moazzem Begg? The guy has never done anything wrong, and rather suffered horrendously in Guantanamo Bay. Does he deserve this kind of treatment from this site?
Guantanamo Bay is terrible place. When you read Moazzem Begg’s book one cannot fathom the kind of evil that exists in this world. Nobody deserves that kind of disgusting treatment – so to mock him in this way is completely distasteful.
I ask again – what is the point of the Friday Night caption? Clearly, it is merely to mock and ridicule innocent Muslims in the community. What sort of intellectual discourse is that?
“Okay, I lied. So sue me.”
It’s certainly less unpleasant than a stay in the company of the CIA?
He’s an Islamist wedded to a deeply authoritarian and vile form of politicised religion who is regularly taking advantage of his time in Gitmo to promote his Islamist agenda.
The man may well have done a number of things wrong, actually. However, that should not have led to his suffering in Gitmo. I would have preferred he had a proper trial and an extended stay in a British prison had he been proven guilty.
I agree. Butlins at Minehead it most certainly is not. Although some might quite reasonably claim that any stay there too is cruel and unusual punishment enough.
Rather, when you look at the people who Begg lends his support to (now and in the past) one cannot fathom the kind of evil that exists in this world.
One that flies about 25 metres above your head – that much is certain, Ghazal.
